翻訳と辞書　辞書検索 [ 開発暫定版 ] スポンサード リンク Madonna of Zbraslav ： ウィキペディア英語版 Madonna of Zbraslav The Madonna of Zbraslav or the Zbraslav Madonna is one of the best known and most popular Marian paintings from medieval Bohemia.〔 ==History== The picture was intended for the Cistercian abbey in Zbraslav near Prague, founded by king Wenceslaus II in imitation of the royal necropolis of Saint Denis near Paris. Elisabeth of Bohemia, mother of Emperor Charles IV was also buried in the monastery, therefore some art historians believe that the painting might be Charles' gift to the monastery. The painting was painted by an unknown artist in Prague between 1340–1350 and it was originally placed in the former church of the Zbraslav Monastery. After this church was destroyed during the Hussite Wars, it was placed in the parish church of St James the Great in Zbraslav.
